Flying career is threatened by crisis in brazilian aviation

The big layoff announced by TAM brought the discussion of a phenomenon that has been occurring since the end of last year.
Other airlines have also started a movement of mass layoffs, along with reduction in the number of flights – which this year is already about 5% lower than last year, according to information from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).

It is the high number of pilots who have lost their jobs in the Brazil and sees the only alternative to looking for a job abroad, so as to establish themselves in the market. Countries like China and Panama are highlighted as destinations for these workers, who already have more than 500 expatriate pilots, according to an estimate by the National Union of Aeronauts (SNA).

If a few years ago the great growth of the sector in Brazil pointed a concern of the lack of manpower to the task, the current conditions that the aviation market is showing shows that it’s not truth. While in 2010 the number of passengers hit a record – an increase of 21% – it is expected that this year there is no growth.
