Train line that will reach airport will be expanded

The design of the 13-Jade Line trains will be extended. The line, which until now would connect the station Engenheiro Goulart, which already owned a 12-Sapphire Line of São Paulo Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM), to theCumbica International Airport, in Guarulhos, get a new piece, being extended to the district Jardim São João, also located in the city of Guarulhos.

The company that manages the railway line in the state of São Paulo, CPTM, said it is already in the final stage of selection of companies that are interested in the works of the Line. The railway company is already preparing the edict that will be used for the hiring of studies, aiming to expand into the neighborhood of Guarulhos.

The government expects the 13-Line Jade is already in operation in 2014. According to CPTM, the investment should be made ​​for the implementation of the project is U.S. $ 1.2 billion, including the already operating infrastructure and trains.
